What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Websites also use related technologies such as local storage, which stores small amounts of information on your device, and tags or pixels, which are small pieces of code that send information to a provider. This policy uses "cookies" to cover all of these unless a distinction matters.
Some of these technologies are needed for the website to work at all. Others are optional and only run with your permission.
Categories we use
Necessary
Necessary technology keeps the website working and secure, lets our forms function, protects against spam and abuse, and remembers your privacy choices. It does not track you across other websites. Necessary means necessary, not useful to marketing. This category is always on.
Functional
Functional technology would remember optional convenience settings. We do not currently use any functional technology that requires your permission. If we introduce one, we will list it here first and turn it off by default.
Analytics
Analytics technology would help us understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and where visitors stop. It is off until you give permission.
Advertising
Advertising technology would help us measure whether our campaigns lead to genuine enquiries. It is off until you give permission. We do not share project content with advertising platforms.
Technologies currently in use
This table lists the technologies actually deployed on the website. We update it before enabling anything new, so it reflects what is live rather than what we might use one day.
| Technology | Category | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Technobita Consent Storage Technobita | Necessary | Stores the visitor's privacy and tracking preferences so the website can respect those choices. |
| Form and Security Technology Technobita / selected provider | Necessary | Supports form validation, spam prevention, rate limiting and other security controls. Runs on our servers and does not set cookies in your browser. |
No optional analytics or advertising technology is active on the website at the date of this policy. When we activate one, it will appear in this table and remain off until you give permission.
Browser storage we set
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
tb_consent | Local storage | Until you clear browser storage. We ask you to reconfirm after about six months. | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics and advertising technology. |
How consent works
- Optional technology loads only after you give permission for its category. Before you choose, analytics and advertising storage are treated as denied.
- Our forms, including Start a Project and Contact, work without optional consent. Rejecting optional technology never prevents you from using the website or sending us a request.
- When you submit a form, we may record the page you came from and any campaign parameters in the address as part of your submission. This first-party attribution is separate from behavioural advertising technology and is explained in our Privacy Policy.
- A successful project request is a business event for us whatever you choose. Whether that event is also sent to an analytics or advertising platform depends on your consent.
- Your choice is stored as a necessary preference so we can respect it on later visits. We ask you to reconfirm after about six months or when this policy materially changes.
Changing your choices
You can accept, reject or change optional categories at any time using the Cookie Settings panel at the top of this page. A Cookie Settings link is also in the footer of every public page. Withdrawing optional consent stops future optional technology from running in your browser.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting stored cookies and local storage. Blocking necessary technology may stop parts of the website from working.
Third-party providers
Where an optional technology is provided by a third party, that provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We choose providers carefully and configure them to collect only what the stated purpose needs, but we do not control their systems. The table above names each provider so you can review its policy.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy before we deploy any new cookie or similar technology. The effective date and last updated date are shown at the top of the page.
